Chinese Meatballs

The addition of Chinese 5 spice takes this recipe over the top.


8 oz ground pork

1 egg

2 shallots, minced

1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice

1/2 TBSP fish sauce

1 pinch salt

oil for frying


Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and form into 1 inch balls. Fry over medium heat being careful not to crowd the meatballs. Brown on one side and turn to fry the other side. Serve with soy sauce and chopped scallions.
